How come the VP choice of Obama has now made this an upside down ticket for the Dems?

Obama will lose! asked:

Joe Biden voted YES for the Iraq War and was one of the strong forces that led us into Iraq, Biden is the Washington “old” school of the DC insiders, the opposite of the Obama’s fictious “change”, Biden was one of the leaders of In 2005, Joe Biden, the Democratic Senator from Delaware (home the world’s largest issuer of credit cards) was a central figure lobbying for passage of S.256 the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.Obama opposes all of the above, and Biden is the one with all the experience.

How come this is an upside down ticket? Could it be Obama’s lack of experience and judgement again?

How do you set up an agency that voices and defends public interest?

dibidi asked:

I am asking because the country that I come from(EU), although having adopted Democracy for nearly 13 years already, does not do much to listen to the people’s opinion in terms of local governance. People rarely speak out, even if they dislike something, little will be said thinking their voice does not matter. Things like consumer protection are just starting to appear but it is difficult and time consuming process for a single individual. e.g having to have a road repaired takes forever although everyone pays taxes. People may complain but individually and their requests get washed away and delayed etc… (Other examples, lack of referendum for important town decisions, or late/formallity referendums on issues, obvious municipality corruptions that are not taken seriously, local gangs known by the police are not dealt with once and for all)…do you get my flow?
I feel there is very little citizen participation as people just don’t care, how do you change this?

Anyone else get scammed by Billy Mays TV products ?

Billboxing asked:

I answered an ad for PRO SEAL, a bathroom caulking device for caulking and sealing around shower enclosure. The product was advertised on TV by sales pitch artist Billy Mays….After several weeks of phone calls, promises of re-shippment and re-charges on my credit card, the 800 # was disconnected and no product appeared. The NY State Consumer Protection Agency was contacted along with The FCC Commission to no avail. There is a web site called Ripoff.com that lists dozens of others nation wide that was duped by this company. Anyone get any results or information ? Thanks and ………B E W A R E .
If you never heard of him or seen TV products advertised by him or have been duped by a television telemarketing scheme, then I guess it’s not necessary to answer. Right ?

In all that’s fair do you think it would be a good thing to have an impartial truth security police that?

Red Rooster asked:

That would be required to monitor news and information, then counter any lies, or false statements with the actual fact of the matter, or stated improven statement made by people, and groups. This would be by a bonded secure agency, much like the agencies that monitor lotto drawings for the states. This would only be required for the information that was vital to the general welfare, and consumer protection of the society. The would be fairy tale tellers would be forced to speak and reveal only the truth as they best know it to be. Would such a thing be too harsh on lawyers and other professional liars, and rob their freedom?
Well! Well! two liberals out of their element again. preposterous! you called it! still do you wet your beds? we understand, and forgive you, we are compassionate.
