WebSitePros had stolen $600 from my business account without my approval. I filed complaints with the BBB of Florida, and a consumer protection agency. Thru research, this company has many complaints of the same nature as mine. I want my damn money back!! I never approved any work they supposedly done nor did I sign any contracts with them.
I’d like to file a class action as I’m sure other small business owners would join in suing this company. But I want to file a lawsuit anyway. How could I sue them if I’m in WI and they are based in Florida?

Lawsuits are filed in the residence/home state of the defendant. You can file by finding an attorney who is licensed in the state of Florida.

I’m not familiar with WI long-arm statutes, but if you did not sign an agreement to submit to the jurisdiction of only one court, you could probably serve them with a complaint addressed the proper representative of the website in Florida stating (in addition to the basis of your claim) how their internet activity in WI submitted them to the WI courts jurisdiction. This would compel them to litigate your state.
