Why is Nancy Pelosi pulling a scam on Americans with a fake drill proposal?

Jackoff asked:

On Monday, just before 10 o’clock in the evening, Pelosi submitted a previously unseen 294-page bill to Congress and using procedural shenanigans available to the Speaker of the House, she demanded a vote take place within 24-hours. And on Tuesday evening, 15 Republicans joined 221 Democrats to actually PASS THIS FRAUD ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
No amendments were allowed and only limited debate took place.
But wait! It gets worse.
Pelosi claims her bill was a compromise… a change of heart that ALLOWS off-shore drilling.
What Madame Pelosi didn’t tell you (and what the liberal media isn’t reporting) is that her SHAM bill — H.R. 6899, the so-called “Comprehensive American Energy Security and Consumer Protection Act” — only allows drilling in those areas where THERE IS NO OIL and effectively extends the moratorium on domestic drilling where THERE IS OIL !
What Madame Pelosi also didn’t you — other than the fact that the bill does the EXACT OPPOSITE of what she says it does and effectively CUTS-OFF domestic drilling at a time when Americans are struggling over the escalating costs of gasoline — is that her “sham bill” also RAISES YOUR TAXES , and is LADEN WITH ENOUGH PORK TO CHOKE A GOAT!
Expect more of this Soviet-style hi-jacking of the legislative process if Barrack Hussein Obama is elected President and Nancy Pelosi is his Speaker of the House.
That’s why NOW is the time to tell our elected officials in one resounding avalanche of  FAXES that WE WON’T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!

Because Pelosi thinks she can ram rod this through and fool the stupid public into think Demorats really care about oil, oil prices, and drilling for oil in the U.S. They don’t. It is all a fake and they are betting no one will figure it out until after the election.

SHE IS JUST A PHONY *****. THIS BILL WOULD ACCOMPLISH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. IT WAS SIMPLY PASSED AS AN ATTEMPT TO GIVE MEMBERS OF HER PARTY COVER IN THE UP COMING ELECTIONS.

Pelosi knows cons are morons, because they are, full of phony outrage, such as this question. SOCIALISTS have just taken over the country and you are worried about pork in an energy bill?

YOU ARE A SOCIALIST YOURSELF IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO BE DISTRACTED FROM THIS FACT.

Why don’t you go sniff some more corporate farts, it is the only thing you people are good at.

I wrote a blog article about that BILL–

    1. 75% of the potential oil and gas reserves are INSIDE 50 miles- the Bill makes these off limits

    2. The coastal states will receive ZERO revenue from the off shore drilling — they usually receive a royalty which varies from 6-15%. Now how many states will even ALLOW off shore drilling if their revenue is taken away.

    3. Nothing in the bill about western shale formation drilling– plus Florida and ANWR are still off limits–

As mentioned already — this is just a Bill so the DEMS can say they voted FOR offshore drilling—- the American “IDLE” generation will fall for her trick.

I watched this on C-SPAN. Pelosi is a complete idiot. She knows this bill won’t pass the Senate and she’s right. Her idea is to let the ban on drilling expire at the end of this month and then when Obama is president, all of the issues with drilling will be solved in the dems favor by Obama.

The dems got their way with the housing bill recently too. They rushed it through and wouldn’t allow the rep to add an amendment that put stricter regulation on lobbying by F&F.

It’s not a “welfare for coastal States” program, it’s a drilling program.

If drilling is so important, why won’t coastal States (and their citizens) allow drilling UNLESS they’re getting a cut of the profits?
